Polish stainless steel and aluminium service centre Nova Trading said its second cut-to-length line for hot rolled coil is now up and running, Platts Steel Business Briefing heard.
The new PLN20 million (€4.8m) facility is cutting stainless steel (including duplex grades) as well as aluminium. “It is one of the first such lines in Poland”, the company said.
The unit is installed in a new 4000 square metre hall at the company’s Torun site. It extends Nova Trading’s processing capability by handling coil up to 10mm thick and 2,150mm wide from 3mm thick and 1,650mm wide, as previously reported. In addition the company can now offer sheets of the length reaching up to 10,000mm, Tadeusz Pajak, president of the board at Nova Trading said.
Nova Trading, the largest stainless steel distributor in Poland according to Polish Union of Steel Distributors, sells stainless steel and aluminium products to various buyers including manufacturers of home appliances, automotive sector, and food production machinery.
