Grinding and brushing of coils

In April 2009 Nova Trading finished installation of a new grinding and brushing machine for stainless steel coils.

The machine is installed in Nova Trading Service Center located in Torun/ Poland. It was supplied by an unquestionable leader in the production of stainless steel surface finishing equipment – Demis, from Switzerland.

The most modern technology applied in the machine enables it to produce various surface types including: dry brush, imitation of wet polish, duplo, etc.

Cutting-edge technology used in the machine has a great influence on its working speed which exceeds 25 meters per minute. Moreover, the change-over time has been reduced to further improve the production process. The new line will take over the majority of orders manufactured by our current machine, which has a working speed of approx. 700 MT  per month.

The new machine is able to process material 0,4 to 2,0 mm thick, up to 1,600 mm wide, with maximum coil weight up to 20 MT. After the polishing process, the coils can be further processed on our Cut-to-Length and Slitting lines to achieve the desired material size.
